Bunia, July 30, 2018 (ACP) .- An investigation team is dispatched to the locality of Rethy where ten (10) cases of bubonic plague are registered among which one case of death, announced Monday the head of Provincial Division of the Health (DPS), Louis Tsulo.
This mission, supported by central government partners, aims to assist the Rethy health zone in the care of patients and in the prevention or awareness of the population against this disease before asking the population to help this team to identify the vector of the disease.
Dr. Louis Tsulo explained that the plague has three forms namely; the bubonic preste caused by an insect bite, the highly contagious pulmonary plague manifested by coughing is the consequence of poor management of the first form, and finally the third form is the septicemic plague which causes death quickly in case of poor support.
