Despite this increased incidence of influenza A in children, the Ministry of Health and Social Policy and autonomous communities decided at the last Inter-Territorial Council of the National Health System (CISNS) to immunize only those children who suffer from chronic illness, while the rest are not included in the vaccination campaign will begin on Monday 16 November.
As acknowledged after the meeting itself owner of Health, Trinidad Jimenez, "although the incidence is relatively high, the majority presents with very mild clinical symptoms. Moreover, he insisted that the criteria of the European Union and scientific societies - like the Spanish Association of Pediatrics (AEP) - not recommended vaccination
