سيطرت حالة من الذعر والقلق على طلاب المدينة الجامعية للطلاب بجامعة الفيوم، بعد تردد أنباء حول إصابة طالبين بكلية الهندسة بأنفلونزا الخنازير، حيث لاحظ الطلاب أن سيارة إسعاف انتقلت لمبنى المدينة الجامعية لنقل الطالب(أ-ى) طالب بالفرقة الرابعة قسم القوى الكهربية كلية الهندسة، المقيم بالغرفة رقم 332 بإسكان 4 بالمدينة الجامعية.
نقل سيارة الإسعاف للطالب تسبب فى انتشار شائعة إصابته وابن عمه الطالب بالفرقة الأولى كلية الهندسة والمقيم بنفس المبنى بمرض أنفلونزا الخنازير، ومما ضاعف حالة القلق لدى الطلاب أن قسم القوى الكهربية بكلية الهندسة، ألغى جميع محاضراته أمس الخميس.
من ناحية أخرى، قررت اللجنة الرباعية التى تم تشكيلها من قبل الدكتور جلال مصطفى سعيد محافظ الفيوم لمتابعة مرض أنفلونزا الخنازير بالمحافظة، منح 9 تلاميذ إجازة إجبارية لمدة 3 أيام لملاحظة ارتفاع درجة حرارتهم مع متابعة حالتهم بالمدارس، كما قررت اللجنة عودة 7 تلاميذ لمدارسهم ممن كان قد تم منحهم إجازة إجبارية منذ يومين لارتفاع درجة حرارتهم، وذكر التقرير أن العينات العشوائية التى تم اتخاذها من جامعة الفيوم أثبتت إصابة طالب بكلية الهندسة وآخر بكلية الطب بالمرض وأنهم تماثلوا للشفاء.
كما اشتبه أطباء مستشفى الفيوم العام اليوم فى إصابة أمير خالد أحمد (تلميذ بالصف الخامس ابتدائى بمدرسة السادات بمركز سنورس) بمرض أنفلونزا الخنازير، وتم احتجازه بالمستشفى وأخذ العينات اللازمة منه لإرسالها للمعامل المركزية بوزارة الصحة لتحليلها.
