Dr. Adel Al-Beltagi, the president of the research, development and advisor to the Minister of Agriculture, that climate changes will impact negatively on agricultural production and limited water resources, pointing to the need to mitigate these effects by increasing tracts of new land reclamation. وقال البلتاجي خلال مؤتمر البحوث والتنمية، الذي عقد أمس بالمركز الدولي للتدريب والتنمية بالأراضي الجديدة بالعامرية إنه يجب تعديل التراكيب الوراثية للنباتات التي تتم زراعتها في مصر حتي تتحمل ارتفاع درجات الحرارة المتوقعة حتي ٥ درجات مئوية وتغيير ?النظم الزراعية? لتقليل الفاقد من المياه، ورفع كفاءتها.
