ضبط محافظ الغربية اللواء عبد الحميد الشناوى، شخصياً، سيارة محملة بالطيور الحية دون تصاريح من الطب البيطرى، وذلك خلال جولة مفاجئة قام بها بعد منتصف ليل أمس الاثنين.
واستوقف المحافظ خلال تفقده لمشاريع البنية التحتية بحى أول طنطا، سيارة نقل دقهلية تحمل رقم 15883 وعلى متنها 827 دجاجة، وطالب من قائدها تصاريح الطب البيطرى، ولكن الأخير ارتبك وتبين عدم وجود أى تصاريح تؤكد خلو الطيور من مرض أنفلونزا الطيور وتحصينها قبل نقلها.
على الفور، استدعى المحافظ رئيس مباحث التموين بالغربية، العميد جمال حمدون، كما استدعى رئيس حى أول طنطا اللواء أيمن سيف النصر وتم تحرير محضر معاينة وقرر مصادرة السيارة وإعدام الطيور بمدفن دفرة الصحى المعد لذلك وسط حراسة أمنية مشددة، وتحرر المحضر 17086 جنح أول طنطا وتمت مصادرة السيارة
