Girl dies of suspected A(H1N1) in Bijapur

Bijapur: A 10-year old girl died with of suspected A(H1N1) influenza at a private hospital in Solhapur in Bijapur district on Saturday. Sources in the district health department said that Semerena Lalsaab Junaidhi, a resident of Indi taluk, was admitted to a private hospital with symptoms of A(H1N1) in September 1 and her blood and throat swab samples were sent to Bangalore for tests on September 2. On September 4, she was shifted to a private hospital in Solhapur for treatment. But her condition deteriorated and she died on Saturday before her test reports could reach the hospital. This is fourth case of A (H1N1) reported from the district. ? Staff Correspondent
