| Epidemiological comments | The African swine fever outbreak was confirmed by the National Reference Laboratory in a dead fattening pig in a backyard farm, using real-time PCR, ELISA for antigen detection and IPT test on February 5th, 2020. Measures have been adopted in the framework of the suspicion since February 3rd and, following the confirmation of the outbreak on February 5th, 2020, additional measures related to the farm (culling, sanitary burial, cleansing-disinfection) and the Regional Unit are being implemented according to the European Union and national legislations. |
