A 15-year-old adolescent turns into the fifth mortal victim of the new outbreak of the flu A (H1N1), according to information of the Department of Public Health.
CITY OF GUATEMALA - the minister Francisco Arredondo said in press conference that they received information about the decease of minor hospital of San Marcos.
' It is a question of a seasonal flu and they must not be alerted ', the official repeated.
Suspicious cases
The vice-minister Roberto P?rez Bran informed that 493 suspicious cases of flu have been detected A (H1N1) in Guatemala, of which 55 were confirmed.
The Department of Health informed recently that the hospitable network of the country declared itself in Yellow Alert due to the cases of influenza brought in the national, territory especially in the capital, San Marcos, Alta Verapaz, Casualty Verapaz, Zacapa, The Progress, Jalapa, Jutiapa and Pink Saint.
The vice-minister indicated that of a group of seven children who died last week in Zacapa, it was confirmed that two died because of this flu, whereas three more died as a consequence of flu type B and the cause of the death of other two is not established yet.
The official indicated that in the capital there have detected to themselves two cases, the first one in the Hospital General San Juan of God and other in the Hospital Roosevelt.
