Un hombre de 23 a?os, con factores de riesgo, ha fallecido por gripe A en una cl?nica privada de Palma, trat?ndose de la sexta muerte causada por esta enfermedad en Baleares, seg?n inform? hoy en un comunicado la Conselleria de Salud y Consumo. La ?ltima v?ctima se produjo ayer, cuando un ni?o de tres a?os afectado por una enfermedad de base previa falleci? por gripe A en el hospital de Son Dureta de la capital balear.

As?, el departamento que dirigido por Vicen? Thom?s se?al? que la tasa de incidencia de gripe es de 30,68 casos por 100.000 habitantes, con un nivel de intensidad bajo, una difusi?n con actividad espor?dica y una evoluci?n descendente.

Por otra parte, inform? que la tasa estimada de todos los subtipos de gripe a las Islas Baleares en la semana 51 del a?o (entre el 20 y el 26 de diciembre) es de 30,68 casos por 100.000 habitantes, frente a los 48,69 de la semana anterior (18,01 puntos menos).

Asimismo, la Conselleria de Salud record? la conveniencia que las personas que forman parte de los grupos de riesgo se vacunen contra la nueva gripe A. S?lo es necesario llamar al tel?fono de cita previa 902 079 079 para solicitar d?a y hora para vacunarse. Este tel?fono funciona de lunes a s?bado de 7.00 a 21.00 horas.

Desde el inicio de la campa?a de vacunaci?n, el pasado 16 de noviembre, hasta el 27 de diciembre se han vacunado contra la gripe A en las Islas 37.982 personas, de las que 31.182 son de Mallorca, con una cobertura del 23,35 por ciento; 4.974 son de Eivissa y Formentera (29,94% de cobertura) y 1.826 son de Menorca (cobertura del 16,59%).

A man of 23 years with risk factors, has died of influenza A in a private clinic in Palma, is the sixth death caused by this disease in the Balearic Islands, said today in a statement the Regional Ministry of Health and Consumption. The latest casualty came yesterday, when a three year old boy suffering from an underlying disease died after influenza A at Son Dureta Hospital in the Balearic capital.
