Health Emergency
FRIDAY, JANUARY 21, 2011
... The country now faces another concern due to the force, apparently, is acquiring influenza A (H1N1), which already claimed a victim in Quito.
Saturation in public hospitals can not keep to meet the demand for ever-increasing poor population of the country, led the President to announce, in his last string on Saturday, the decision to declare Emergency Public Health System.
The idea is, he said, freeing up resources to build, in some cases, or buy, in others, new hospitals in densely populated cities and in those places where you need to improve health care, and to acquire the equipment and tools necessary, and medicines and other essential supplies for the treatment of patients.
But along with this situation that we are living in public hospitals, the country faces yet another concern due to the force, apparently, is acquiring influenza A (H1N1), which already claimed a victim in Quito.
In Chimborazo, health authorities have said they are prepared to face any emergency that may arise as a result of this disease, while reiterating his call for the population, in order that proper precautions are taken, especially in the current circumstances where the presence of rain and bitter cold currents may generate respiratory ailments. The recommendation also goes some way to avoid self-medication and go to the nearest health center to get treatment. The cooperation of citizens is important.
