September 2, 2012 (CHICAGO) -- Hundreds of deer in the Chicago area have been killed by a virus previously unknown in the area.

The (Arlington Heights) Daily Herald reports that roughly 200 deer in Cook County have died. Six suspected cases have been reported in Kane County...

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) - More than 2,000 deer in 76 Illinois counties likely have died from a virus that often kills the animals but poses no risk to humans.
