KlikM, Bekasi - A total of 652 village chickens died suddenly hit by bird flu. 600 of them belonged to farmers, while 52 is an individual's pet chicken.
The fact was revealed after tests Bekasi District Animal Husbandry Department. Thus disclosed Camat Tambelang, Sutisna, Thursday (20/01) increased in the office.

Hundreds of dead chickens had been burned and buried, and the Animal Husbandry Department immediately spray the cages bulk chicken breeders.
"To anticipate the outbreak of bird flu in poultry, we will conduct a routine control of the chicken farms and individuals once every 2 days with 3-5 persons deployed Animal Husbandry Department officials," said Sutisna.

Bekasi ? Bird flu H5N1 hit backyard chickens in Tambelang, Bekasi, West Java. Of total 652 dead chickens, 600 were commercial chickens and 52 were belonging to individual.

The confirmation was done through laboratory test of Livestock Service Bekasi.

Control measures were done by burning and burying dead chickens followed by disinfection to infected chickens cages.

Livestock Service officers have been dispatched for monitoring any further outbreak in the area.
