I'm not sure the comment isn't a suspcion of CCHF as well (which has been previously reported from Iraq). The description given does not really sound like a respiratory disease.

وقال مصدر صحي في مستشفى السماوة ان طفلتين من عائلة واحدة في منطقة آل بوجراد التابعة لناحية السوير توفيتا نتيجة الإصابة بمرض يشتبه إنه انفلونزا الطيور.وأشار إلى أن دائرة صحة المثنى لم تؤكد اصابتهما بالمرض نفسه، لكنها تحفظت على الموضوع.
