Team improves Parkinson's disease symptoms in monkeys using stem cells

KYOTO (Kyodo) -- A team of researchers said Tuesday it has been successful in improving the symptoms of Parkinson's disease in monkeys through the use of human embryonic stem cells to create nerve cells that produce dopamine, a neurotransmitter in the brain.
