Ranchi: There are no differences in the eyes of a virus. Two senior doctors of the Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial Hospital in the city have found to be infected by the H1N1 virus (swine flu) on Monday.
Meanwhile, the hospital management has started taking all precautions and distributing Tamiflu, an anti-viral drug, free of cost. A top official of the hospital management disclosed that Dr Sailendra Singh from ENT department and Dr Ajit Beharwal from Dermatology department were found to be positive in swine flu test. This has happened despite the reports that hospitals are cautious of the infection and are taking all the precautions.
Assistant Superintendent of the hospital Dr AP Padarah said, ?We are distributing the Tamiflu (75 mg) at free of cost in the hospital and taking all the precautions.? He further said that two doctors have not been admitted to the hospital and instead they have been advised to take rest at their homes because the virus ? HINI can spread infection rapidly. Dr Padarah, however, could not provide the total number of conformed cases of swine flu in the city as few people prefer to go to private hospitals for treatment. He said the hospital has so far treated a total of three patients suffering from disease.
