An investigation is currently underway and does involve the treatment of all suspected rash illnesses.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A scabies outbreak was reported at CAMC General Hospital on Jan. 6.

According to the Kanawha County Health Department, 18 staff members initially reported a rash-like illness. After more review they found 12 additional staff members with a rash-like illness and one patient. Currently, the skin scraping of one of the staff members has been confirmed as scabies.
