Hat tip to Crof - Australia: Hospital workers refuse to deal with flu patients.
Hospital orderlies and housekeepers are refusing to work around flu patients unless their sick leave rules are relaxed.

I think that this issue is broader than employee sick leave. I think that schools and universities must also suspend absentee rules and guidelines this fall.
Until we have a safe and effective vaccine that is widely distributed and administered, social distancing and self isolation will be critical to slow spread of pan H1N1.
If people continue to feel that their job, school or university career will be threatened by an absence due to illness, we will all be at increased risk this fall.
