  • DOE has dozens of the world's finest scientists trying to decipher the reaction that caused the WIPP leak. It is estimated that it will take months to figure this out.
  • 100+ barrels of nuclear waste remain stored above ground on the Los Alamos campus and are currentey deemed too risky to transport.
