GUADALAJARA, JALISCO (11/JUN/2011) .- The lifting of the health alert that prevented the sale of beef liver is maintained, despite the recent case of six people in Amatit?n poisoned by eating meat from cattle that were fed clenbuterol in the finishing phase, said the owner of Sanitary Regulation of the Ministry of Health of Jalisco, Juan Carlos Olivares Galvez.
He acknowledged that the problem of the use of clenbuterol is a complex problem, because now its not only can be residual in the liver, but in the flesh, as was the case Amatit?n, its presence outside of Jalisco, as been the case with the players selected.
However, he said that the lifting of the warning (issued on May 31) is already a fact and therefore already notified the mayors of the 125 municipalities in Jalisco to the liver can be sold in outlets that have letter-commitment of its leaders who are committed to selling products from cattle ranches that do not use the banned substance.
