LINWOOD, MI ? A case of bacterial meningitis has been reported at Linwood Elementary School, according to the Bay County Health Department.

Health department officials said that on Friday, Nov. 1, Pinconning Area Schools officials notified staff, students and parents of the situation. Linwood employee dies of meningitis

A Linwood Elementary School employee who was being treated for bacterial meningitis at the end of last week has died.

The announcement was made Monday in a letter to staff from Pinconning Area Schools Superintendent Michael J. Vieau. According to the letter, the employee died on Saturday.

The employee had worked as a cook at the school, at 517 W. Carpenter St., for 12 years, and as a substitute for four years before that...
