Moldava reports first swine flu death

Moldovan Ministry of Health announced the first death caused by the A/H1N1 virus in the country.

The patient, aged 50, died Friday evening.

The man returned to Chisinau on October 10, from Poland.

So far, in Moldova there were 116 suspected cases of influenza A/H1N1, of which 16 were confirmed.

Pacientul, ?n v?rstă de 50 de ani, a murit vineri seara. Bărbatul revenise la Chişinău pe 10 octombrie, din Polonia.

P?nă ?n prezent, ?n R. Moldova au fost ?nregistrate 116 cazuri suspecte de gripă A/H1N1, dintre care 16 au fost confirmate.

In Moldova, the first confirmed death from the "swine flu"

Moldovan Ministry of Health has officially confirmed the country's first case of death due to virus A (H1N1).

As reported Oct. 27 in the Ministry of Health of Moldova, the conclusion made by a special commission investigating the circumstances of the death of 50-year-old man previously hospitalized with suspected influenza A (H1N1), correspondent of IA REGNUM News. As noted, despite the comprehensive diagnosis and a number of other diseases, the patient actually died due to pandemic influenza.

Recall, 50-year-old man on October 20 was taken to the intensive care unit of the Chisinau Municipal Hospital number 1 with the diagnosis of pulmonary, cardiac insufficiency, bilateral bronchial pneumonia and a suspected influenza virus A (H1N1).

It is known that on October 10 a man came from Poland. More than 50 people who had contact with the alleged victim of influenza virus, currently under the supervision of doctors. Should be noted that this is the 16th case of infection "swine flu" in Moldova, and the first death from the virus.

Moldova confirmă cel de-al doilea deces cauzat de gripa porcină

Gripa porcină ia amploare, iar numărul victimelor creşte pe zi ce trece. Ministrul Sănătăţii din Republica Moldova, Vladimir Hotineanu, a confirmat astăzi cel de-al doilea deces din gauza gripei A H1N1 ?n această ţară.

Victima noului virus gripal este un bărbat de 35 de ani, care a murit luni la spitalul raional din Drochia. Potrivit Jurnal de Chişinău, el se ?ntorsese de la Moscova duminică.

P?nă ?n prezent, ?n Republica Moldova au fost examinate 160 cazuri suspecte de ?mbolnăvire cu virusul A H1N1, dintre care 30 s-au confirmat. ?ngrijorător este faptul că Moldova nu deţine vaccinul ?mpotriva gripei pandemice. Acesta va fi adus la Chişinău abia ?n ianuarie 2010.

Victim new influenza virus is a man of 35 years, who died Monday at the district hospital in Drochia. The Journal of Chisinau, he returned from Moscow on Sunday.

So far, in Moldova were examined 160 suspicious cases of illness with H1N1 virus, of which 30 were confirmed. Worrying is that Moldova has no vaccine against pandemic flu. This will be brought to Chisinau until January 2010.
