ENC county has most whooping cough cases in state

DUPLIN COUNTY -

Duplin County is experiencing a whooping cough outbreak. Duplin County Health Director Ila Davis said there are currently 41 confirmed cases and 18 probable cases.

Davis said they already have more cases of whooping cough than they had in their last outbreak back in 2008...

Whooping Cough Cases Confirmed in Transylvania County

BREVARD, N.C. -- More than 20 cases of whooping cough have been confirmed in Transylvania County since late last month, and health officials believe it's far from over.

Five of those infected are infants, and two had to be hospitalized.

Both infants are back home recovering from the bacterial infection pertussis, also known as whooping cough...
