RSS

KAPILVASTU, May 20: The measles is breaking out in Jahadi of Kapilvastu with the rise in temperature. Two children have been already died of measles.

According to Dr. Ananta Kumar Sharma of District Hospital, Taulihawa, a three-year-old son of Sharada Khatun and Spata Ali?s two-year-old son Paswin Ali of Jahadi VDC-2 lost their lives to measles on Wednesday afternoon.

The cause behind the death is that the children, who had been suffering from measles for over a week, were kept in Mosque rather than in hospital for treatment, added Dr. Sharma.

A team of doctors had reached the spot when local media on Wednesday evening made public news about the outbreak of measles in the area.

More than a dozen of children have been afflicted of measles in Jahadi VDC-2, according to the team. No locals there are ready to bring sufferers to hospitals due to their traditional belief that they will be recovered from infections with prayers offered to the lord Mohammed.

Number of patients suffering from various diseases has been increased in Kapilvastu with the rise on temperature since the past one week.
