Toddler in Nijmegen died from swine flu

Tuesday, November 10, 2009

NIJMEGEN - A 3-yearold boy died in Radboud Hospital Radboud in Nijmegen
. The child had the swine flu, but was, according to a spokeswoman
the University Medical Center St. Radboud also weakened by another
disease. The toddler used to come at daycare Abeltje in the Nijmegen neighbourhood Meijhorst.

Sunday morning he was hospitalized. Whether the child died from the
flu, according to the medical staff is not clear.

Should this be the case, then the toddler is the eighteenth fatality
in the Netherlands of H1N1 .
