From week 1 to week 40, the cumulative cholera cases reported at health facilities throughout the country is 4894 cases / 102 deaths, a mortality rate of 2.08%.
Week 41 (from 8 to 14 October 2012), the district health Birni Konni (Tahoua Region) has reported 11 new cases without death, bringing the total of reported cases in the Region of Tahoua 442cas/16 death distributed in two health districts namely Madaoua and Birnin Konni who recorded 95 cases respectively / 3 deaths and 347 cas/13 de-cess. During the same pe-riod, Tillab?ry said 54 new cases with 0 deaths against 41 cases / 1 death in 71 cases and S40 / 1 S39 to death. Tillab?ri region remains the most affected by the epidemic with 4433 cas/81d?c?s (CFR 1.82%). The epidemic precisely in the districts riparian River Niger: Tillab?ri (2664 cas/38 death), Tera (1220 cas/33 death), Kollo (458 cases / 8 deaths) and Say (41 cases / 1 death). However, the health district Ouallam (Tillab?ri Region), located near the riv-ve, also reported 50 cases / 1 death.
