Neighbors Discover Dead Birds in Pond Updated: Saturday, February 1 2014, 11:43 PM EST
NORTHWEST COLUMBUS (James Jackson) -- People living in a Central Ohio neighborhood are concerned tonight, after seeing dead birds in their complex. Neighbors reported the case in the Bethel Commons condos, in Northwest Columbus. It's a pond many birds consider home and a body of water people admire for it's serenity. But, Bo Arnold says that peace was interrupted, when she noticed a disturbing sight.

Twelve birds all together lay dead a layer of ice covering the pond. Nine of the birds are ducks and three are geese.

... (N)eighbors down the street have. Friday, ABC 6/FOX 28 reported a number of dead ducks and geese at the Island Club apartments. Several ducks were in pain and more than a dozen were dead. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources says their officers are looking into both cases.
