A rash of synthetic marijuana overdoses is flooding Lehigh Valley emergency rooms.
Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown has had two dozen such cases since Saturday. Lehigh Valley Health Network and St. Luke's University Health Network, each of which has several hospitals in the region, have been inundated as well.
"This is clearly, without a doubt, a monumental increase" from the one or two cases LVHN might see in a typical month, said Dr. Kenneth Katz, a medical toxicologist for the network...
