Senior officials at the district health department have claimed that a declining trend is observed in incidence of dengue fever among population in town within last three days however, the allied hospitals have registered another 145 confirmed cases of the infection in last four days.

Data collected by ?The News? on Wednesday reveals that within last 24 hours, the allied hospitals tested as many as 42 cases of dengue fever positive out of 62 patients who were suspected as probable cases of the infection. The total number of confirmed patients reported at the three teaching hospitals in town reached 878 till Wednesday noon.

The data also hints towards a little decline in number of confirmed cases of dengue fever this week if compared to the number of cases reported last week...

LAHORE: Health Additional Director General (Dengue Control) Dr Islam Zafar has said the number of dengue confirmed patients in Punjab has reached to 1,065.

Sindh Dengue Prevention and Control Program Provincial Program Manager Dr Shakeel Aamir Mullick on Monday disclosed that 15 people died from deadly dengue viral fever in 2014 so far and all these deaths were reported in Karachi.

Dr Shakeel Mullick said 15 people died of dengue viral fever 1st January 2014 to December 28; however, the ratio of dengue deaths of this year was low as compared to 2013.
