Boy hit by mysterious disease

KARACHI: A-13-year-old boy, resident of Khaskehli locality of Ibrahim Hydri, who is suffering from a mysterious disease, faces death-like situation because of non-provision of treatment due to extreme poverty.
Holes have developed on the body of boy Abdul Sattar, son of Abdullah Khaskheli, while his limbs and legs are bended while pus with foul smell is excreting from his body.
His body cannot bear any dress as it irritates him while bees are not letting him rest.
The mother of the ill-fated child, Lal Khatoon, told Daily Times that Sattar used to live a normal life some three years back when the mysteriously disease hit him. ?We had taken him to a Chamra Hospital in Saddar where doctors asked us to shift him to Aga Khan Hospital but we could not afford the treatment expenses of that hospital?.
?Seeing his condition, we thought that our child was caught by a Jinn, so we also took him to a spiritual healer for treatment but no fruitful result came out?, she said in a despair.
?We hailed from Gharo, district Thatta and had settled in Ibrahim Hydri some 20 years ago for livelihood. My husband is a fisherman by procession, who hardly earns two-time meal. How could we afford his treatment?, the mother maintained.
?I have three more sons and two daughters, while Sattar is beautiful among them but the disease has ruined his life and the doctors are unable to understand the nature of the disease. No betterment is felt after visiting different doctors while the child is unable to eat food and cries in anger due to pain, Khatoon said.
?For a couple of days, his condition has been deteriorating rapidly and holes emerging on his body. Nothing else is painful for a mother when his child die before her as she cannot do anything helplessly,? she said. She appealed to philanthropists to help in treatment of her child to save his life.
