Tomsk authorities are asked to close nightclubs because of flu epidemic

TOMSK, December 3 - RIA Novosti, Tatiana Svintsova. Vice-Governor of Tomsk Oblast Yuri Suhoplyuev during a meeting with representatives of the nightlife of the city asked the institutions to suspend work for two weeks due to a flu epidemic and SARS, the press service of the Administration of Tomsk Region.
As of December 1, in the Tomsk region recorded 522 cases of A/H1N1, 976 cases of influenza and SARS, with 696 of them ill children. From complications of influenza A/H1N1 in the region killed 20 people, including diagnoses and 12 received confirmation from the State Research Center "Vector".
Yuri Suhoplyuev met with representatives of the entertainment Tomsk and appealed to them to suspend work on a half or two weeks. In connection with the epidemic of the regional operational headquarters on Wednesday decided to limit the holding of public events with the number of participants over 50 people, "- said in a statement .
"I think everybody understands the situation. Therefore, I hope that our request will be heard, including those who are now unable to come to the meeting", - press service quoted the words of Deputy Governor.
According to the administration, to those who do not respond to the call of the authorities, will make tough, but legal action. The first precedent for the closing night club in the area already. In Tomsk, to check the activities of nightclubs and entertainment venues set up five working groups, which included specialists ATC, MES, Rospotrebnadzor, mayor of Tomsk and the supervisory committee to oversee the administration of the Tomsk region. They will test from Friday. The heads of municipalities of the region also requested to arrange a check discos and nightclubs.
