November 18, 2009 (Chula Vista) - A five-year-old student who attends John J. Montgomery Elementary School in Chula Vista Elementary School Districthas been diagnosed with pertussis, commonly known as whooping cough, County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) reports today. The student was up-to-date on immunizations.There have been 123 cases of whooping cough in San Diego County this year. In 2008, there were 51.
