Epidemic of measles in Belgrade officially confirmed

BELGRADE ? City Institute for Public Health submitted a report on the outbreak of measles in Belgrade to the Institute of Public Health ?Dr. Milovan Jovanovic Batut?, and the Institute of Public Health of Vojvodina reported an outbreak of measles in South Backa District.

As of November 21st, when epidemiological surveillance of measles started, so far 38 cases of infection were confirmed. Ending with December, 19 cases were confirmed, and as of January 9th, another 19 cases were registered and confirmed. Most cases of measles have been registered in Belgrade ? 22, and a family epidemic with two patients, for which is assumed to be the source of infection...
