The flu A circulates pacifically along the Catalan hospitals. Although the virus H1N1 is the most frequent of the gripales detected at present, overcoming even the threshold of the epidemic (110 cases for every 100.000 inhabitants), there is, neither in contrast to last winter, nor social alarm nor exceeded hospitals.
The last information on incidence of the Plan of Daily Information of the Respiratory Sharp Infections in Catalonia (PIDIRAC) reveals that the epidemic level has excelled itself, although the serious cases are minority. The majority of the infected ones by the virus are children or persons of medium age, and, since last year happened, the elders are least affected by the epidemic.
