Two ETSU students being treated for bacterial meningitis

East Tennessee State University is investigating two cases of bacterial meningitis involving students who both live off-campus.

The first student was treated for meningitis and recently released from the hospital. School health officials evaluated a second student Tuesday who may have the illness.

ETSU couldn't say if the two students know each other.

The university notified the Washington County Health Department of both cases...
