Two cases of Flu A ? not typified ? in Chako ( Argentina )

The detected patients are a transplanted man - Inmunodeprimido-, of 31 years, which it remains interned in the Hospital Perrando and evolves in favorable form; and a 26-year-old, asthmatic young man, who was assisted in a clinic deprived of Resistance and it already received the Medical Discharge.

In both cases, both the patients and his most nearby relatives were medicated with oseltamivir (antiviral selective pro-medicine against the virus of the influenza) in order to prepare a possible contagion. ? They talk each other about cases of flu A not typified, this wants to say that we still do not know about what subtype of influenza it talks each other ?, told the minister of Health Francisco Baquero. The most frequent subtypes of influenza are H1N1 and H3N2.

The minister Francisco Baquero, summoned the chaque?os to meet to provincial health centers to gain access to the vaccine against the flu before the recent detection of two patients with flu A in Resistance. ? There is viral circulation of flu A without typifying, that's why we insist with the recommendation of vaccinating, especially those persons who integrate the high-risk groups ?, he confirmed.

Re: Two cases of Flu A ? not typified ? in Chako ( Argentina )

Tough to tell what is going on here. The Spanish is "no tipificada", which I translate as "unsubtyped", which might just mean they haven't tried to determine which subtype this is.

Alternatively, they may be trying to communicate the idea of "unsubtypable" flu, which would mean a flu that is not identified by standard subtyping tests. That could be a novel flu and a cause for concern. The ages are not what I would expect for H3N2v, and H3N2v often subtypes as seasonal H3N2 anyway.

Since they are emphasizing vaccination (and haven't used any form of "poder", as in we COULDN'T subtype it), I think they are in the first case, but I am not sure.
