Quarantine hunt for man with killer turbuculosis strain

A man walking the streets with a killer disease was being hunted yesterday.
A judge agreed to put Gary Clayden, 46, in quarantine for a highly infectious strain of tuberculosis but the court heard it was feared he had gone into hiding.
A friend had died from the disease and doctors are aware of 12 other sufferers.
Consultant Dr Sunil Ashraf said: “This man is coughing up germs containing the TB virus. He is an ongoing risk to those he lives with and communicates with.”
