US hands over 3,000 protective suits to Laos
The United States of America yesterday provided 3,000 protective suits worth US$60,000 to the

Centre for Laboratory and Epidemiology of Lao Ministry of Public Health, Vientiane, with the aim of prevent infectious disease of bird flu.
The aid was handed over by Dr Andrew Corwin, a representative of US Disease Prevention and Control as well as the US Embassy to Laos, to Mr Phengta Vongphachanh, Director of Laboratory and Epidemiology Centre in the presence of high-ranking officials.
Mr Phengta expressed thanks Mr Cowin through the US Government for providing assistance to Laos. This is the third assistance that the US Government donated aids to Laos and he pledged to dispatch the protective suits to local officials who work in bird flu outbreak area.:tiphat:http://www.kpl.net.la/english/news/edn3.htm
