PROVO ? Two Utah County residents came home from a recent Disneyland trip with more than just memories of their family vacation.

The two, reported to be under age 18, were exposed to the measles virus at the amusement park and neighboring Disney California Adventure Park in mid-December. The two had not received measles vaccinations, according to the Utah County Health Department. ..

Health officials worried about potential measles outbreak in Utah County

PROVO (ABC4 News) - Two adolescent siblings infected with measles visited a number of public places in Utah County between December 26th and January 4th and now health officials are worried that because of the number of people exposed they could have an epidemic on their hands.

The Orem siblings contracted the virus at Disneyland on Wednesday, December 17th and became contagious after returning to Utah and developing symptoms.

On Friday, December 26th, they were at a Macey's Grocery Store on 800 North & State Street in Orem, the Cinemark Movie 8 theater in Provo and the Carmike Wynnsong 12 theater in Provo.

They attended church at the Geneva Heights LDS Chapel on Sunday the 29th and the next day, they were at the WalMart on Sandhill Road in Orem from 9-11 pm. All crowded public places where someone could have contracted the virus even if they didn't have any contact with those siblings...

Third Utah Resident Tests Positive for Measles
New case was in contact with the two original cases -- no additional exposure sites listed due to effective quarantine REPOSTED from the Utah Department of Health

SALT LAKE CITY (January 17, 2105) -- A third Utah County resident has tested positive for measles. The individual is under the age of 18 and was in contact with the two people who became ill after traveling to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park in mid-December. This person was unimmunized, but did receive an MMR vaccine after the original cases became ill. The three Utah cases are part of a larger outbreak being investigated in California.

The new case was under quarantine during their infectious period, and as a result, would not have exposed anyone else to the virus.
