Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 4 (PTI) Swine flu has claimed the life of a 25-year-old woman, taking the toll in the pandemic to four in Kerala, health officials said today.
Jaya George was under treatment for respiratory problems at a private hospital in Kochi and she died on September 1.
Her throat swab test report received yesterday confirmed the death due to the virus, the officials said.
Six new cases of swine flu -- two each from Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam and Malappuram -- were reported in the state, pushing up the number of confirmed cases to 249, they said.
