The Institute of Legal Medicine indicated that pneumonia was the cause of death of two year old girl whose body was found with a high degree of malnutrition in the village of Suba, northwest of Bogota.
The director of the Institute of Legal Medicine, Juan Angel Isaac Plains, told RCN Radio that pneumonia was the cause of death of the child found with signs of malnutrition and abuse in a mud house located in Berlin.
Isaac Plains stated that this diagnosis was the result of the autopsy that was performed on the body of the girl.
He said the full report of the forensic examination will be forwarded to the Attorney General's Office, so that through the research group, progress in investigating the case.
