So far this year, the Regional Health Directorate reported Tacna death of 22 people from complications of pneumonia, a condition that in recent weeks is attacking with greater impact on the population.

Most fatal cases of pneumonia occurred in the district of Tacna (11), followed by the district Albarrac?n Gregory (7) and the Cono Norte (Ciudad Nueva and Alto de la Alianza, with two cases each). 28.9% of cases were treated at the Regional Hospital Hipolito Unanue.
Tejada said that the range of acute respiratory infections in the region are within the expected indicators.
