Swine Flu toll rises to 28 in Karnataka

[FONT=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]A 36-year-old woman succumbed to swine flu today, pushing up the toll in the pandemic in Karnataka to 28.[/FONT]
[FONT=arial,helvetica,sans-serif] Shahida Misgar, who was admitted to a private hospital here on August 31 with fever and respiratory problems, died in the early hours, becoming the first victim of the virus in Uttara Kannada district, health authorities said.[/FONT]
[FONT=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]Her throat swab tested positive for the virus, authorities said.[/FONT]
