Swine flu toll in Pune mounts to 29, touches 50-mark in Maharashtra
Pune, Aug 30 : Three more people, including a 15-month-old baby, succumbed to the HIN1 virus in the city, pushing the toll to 29 in the city and 50 in Maharashtra.
The death of 20-year-old Sunil Kumbhar was reported at 0245 hrs this morning at the Sassoon hospital.
Kumbhar was earlier admitted to the Aundh civil hospital before being shifted to Sassoon Hospital on Saturday, Dr P S Pawar, Medical Superintendent of the Hospital said.
Fortytwo-year-old Central Railway employee Vilas Khandu Pabale died at the KEM hospital here at 2035 hrs tonight. He was admitted to the hospital on August 27 in a critical condition and was kept on Ventilator since then.
Fifteen-month-old Nikita Shendge succumbed to the HIN1 virus at the Sassoon hospital at 2045 hrs.
She was admitted to the hospital on April 26 and was kept on a Ventilator since then, Mr Pawar told UNI.
