Amazon confirms 13 cases of H1N1 flu

Manaus - The state of Amazonas has recorded 13 cases of influenza A (H1N1) this year. In last Tuesday (23), Francileide Pires de Souza, 32, pregnant for seven months, died at the maternity Ana Braga, east of the capital, a victim of the flu.
The immunization campaign launched in the last 88 days throughout the state and were confirmed in 2010, five deaths. According to the Foundation for Health Surveillance (SVM), were sent 70 virus samples to the Evandro Chagas Institute, located in Bethlehem (PA) of the total 40 had negative, 13 positive and 17 are in the process of analysis.
