Hyderabad: Mysterious fevers whose origins are unknown have affected 17,29,622 people in the state in 2013.

The state government?s epidemiology wing records data of the total number of fevers in the state, and one category is also assigned to fevers of unknown origin or mysterious fevers. The fever is said to be ?of unknown origin? when all available diagnostic tests for malaria, dengue, tuberculosis, chikungunya, swine flu and others known infections do not show a positive diagnosis.
