LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KAIT) – Two cases of pediatric measles have been reported in Arkansas...

...The Arkansas Department of Health confirmed the first case of pediatric measles in an unvaccinated Arkansas resident of Saline County.

The individual who tested positive was exposed during out-of-state travel.

This is the first confirmed case since 2018.

The case visited the following locations while infectious:

– Baptist Health Urgent Care on Military Road in Benton, AR, on April 6 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:09 p.m.
– Saline Memorial Hospital Emergency Department on April 6 from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
– Benton Family Clinic on April 8 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
– Arkansas Children’s Emergency Department on April 8 from 11:49 a.m. to 5:59 p.m.

A second case of pediatric measles has been confirmed out of Faulkner County.

The individual who tested positive was also exposed during out-of-state travel.

The case visited the following locations while infectious:

– Arkansas Pediatrics of Conway on April 7, from 9:10 a.m. to 11:25 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.
– Arkansas Children’s Emergency Department on April 9 from 1:15 p.m. to 8:40 p.m...

Arkansas Department of Health confirms third measles case in state

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Officials with the Arkansas Department of Health confirmed Monday that a third case of measles has reached the state.

According to a spokesperson from the ADH, the case was reported out of Saline County and the person who tested positive was said to be an unvaccinated child.

Officials said that there is nothing to indicate that there is community spread of the measles virus at this time. They also said that the person who tested positive had no public exposure.​..

The Arkansas Department of Health is reporting a fourth confirmed pediatric measles case in an Arkansas resident. The individual was not fully vaccinated and resides in Faulkner County. Because the individual has no record of travel outside the state, this case indicates the first case of community spread of measles in Arkansas this year...


While infectious, the case visited Conway Regional Greenbrier Family Medicine in Greenbrier on April 18th from 10:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. and April 21st from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. and Irby Dance Studio in Conway on April 23rd from 5:30-9:30 p.m. Anyone at those locations during those days and times may have been exposed to measles and should monitor for symptoms for 21 days after exposure...

Arkansas measles cases rise to 6, plus new exposures in border counties

Two more people have been diagnosed with measles in Faulkner County, the Arkansas Department of Health confirmed Friday, bringing the total number of cases in the state this year to six.

Of those six confirmed cases, four have been in Faulkner County and two in Saline County. All were reported since the beginning of April.

The most recent three cases have been in Faulkner, and none of the infected individuals had recently traveled out of state.​..

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Arkansas Department of Health has listed a plant in Osecola, Arkansas, as a site for possible measles exposure.

According to the ADH, anyone who was at Big River Steel in Osceola, Arkansas, between the dates of April 25 – 28 may have been exposed to measles.

FAULKNER COUNTY, Ark. – The Arkansas Department of Health is reporting a seventh measles case in the state.

The Wednesday report indicates that the new case is in Faulkner County, marking the sixth case for that county. The only other previously reported case in Arkansas was a single one in Saline County.​..
