Case of the mumps recorded in Singleton

THE first reported case of mumps this year has surfaced at a Singleton area primary school.

Parents were warned about the case in the school newsletter last week.

Mumps has become extremely rare in the Hunter New England Health area with no officially confirmed cases to date this year and an average of three cases each year...
