Innisfail resident the first dengue fever case for 2017, two more suspected

AN INNISFAIL resident has the first confirmed case of dengue fever in the Far North this year.

The outbreak comes as two other suspected cases in the area are being investigated and the Dengue Action Response Team (DART) carries out mosquito control in the area.

Director of Tropical Public Health Services Dr Richard Gair said residents should be extra vigilant as dengue mosquitoes breed around homes and feed during the day...
