Queensland's health authorities are about to issue a blunt warning to Queenslanders travelling to Bali, Thailand and the Philippines to check their measles immunization is up to date.
It comes as the latest Queensland Health data shows three people have recently returned from Bali with measles, taking the number of cases in Queensland to 48.
Two other Queenslanders have returned from the Philippines with measles.

SOUTH Australia has been hit with an unexpected spike in influenza numbers as well as highly contagious measles, spread by people who caught them on holidays in Bali.
The past two months also have seen a case of leprosy and a case of typhoid reported (both are notifiable diseases).
SA Health says there have been 156 cases of flu reported this week compared with 124 the previous week, and there now are 10 cases of measles in the past month linked to Bali holiday-makers...

THREE more cases of measles have been reported in Adelaide, bringing the total to 13 since last month.
The disease - brought in by holiday-makers who caught in it Bali - is spreading among people who are not fully immunised.
Authorities say several schools and health centres were visited by people during the infectious stages and are urging people with symptoms to see a doctor.
It comes as SA Health data shows isolated cases of leprosy and typhoid also have been brought in to Adelaide from overseas in the past two months and flu numbers spike...
New measles case in Queensland sparks warning

Another person has contracted the measles virus in Queensland.
There have been more than 30 cases of the potentially deadly virus this year, despite the disease having been eradicated from Australia.
Metro North Public Health Unit director Dr Susan Vlack says the patient was diagnosed on November 30, but authorities haven't identified the source of the infection.
She says the patient visited Chermside, Deception Bay and Redcliffe while infectious and people living in those areas should be alert to symptoms...
