KAKADVITTA, FEB 12 - A week after bird flu was detected in Sunsari, Panchthar and Ilam, authorities on Sunday confirmed the outbreak of the influenza in three different areas of Jhapa district.
Test reports sent by the Veterinary Epidemiology Centre at Tripureshwor in the Capital confirmed bird flu in poultry farms at Pathamari-1, Arjundhara-7 and Charpane-3 in the district.

KATHMANDU: Three years after grappling with the country?s first bird flu outbreak, Jhapa district has reported yet another flu scare. The disease that struck Kakadvitta of the district three years ago has hit poultry farms in Pathamari, Arjundhara and Charpane this time, Dr Ram Krishna Khatiwada, programme officer at the Directorate of Animal Health under the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives confirmed today.
